Objectives of The Associations

The objects of the Association shall be:

  1. To stimulate contacts with old boys, the students and the staff of the University and its allied institutions;
  2. To provide ways and means for cultural contacts with the outside world in general and educational institutions in particular leading to a wider cultural outlook;
  3. To help and promote the advancement of special branches of learning such as Engineering, Medicine, Computer and such other branches and interests as the Association may from time to time include;
  4. To assist financially, as for as possible, by means of educational loans, scholarships and other material assistance;
    1. Primarily to such dependents of Old Boys as may be in need thereof, and
    2. Other deserving and promising students;
  5. To make every possible contributions to the educational expansion and cultural advancement of the country in general and the University in particular;
  6. To extend help to dependents of old boys and other promising students in the matter of preparing for competitive examinations and securing jobs;
  7. Establishing an information bureau to help job seekers, scholars and students, etc.;
  8. Bringing out a journal and other particular publication of its own;
  9. To establish a library and reading room
  10. To construct a building in Delhi for maintaining a better office of the Association, library and reading room for students, working girls and boys who may require this facility.
  11. To take all possible steps and actions within its affordability to strengthen the Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic of India.
  12. To take all possible steps and actions within its affordability to inculcate a sense of Fundamental Duties in the mind of every citizen of India including its members.
    1. To abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem.
    2. To cherish and follow the noble ideas which inspired our national struggle for freedom.
    3. To uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India;
    4. To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so.
    5. To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women.
    6. To value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture.
    7. To protect and improve the natural environment including forests; lake, rivers and wild life, and to have compassion for living creatures;
    8. To develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.
    9. To safeguard public property and to abjure violence.
    10. To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement.
  13. To Contribute taking all possible steps in building communal harmony in every section of Indian Society.
  14. To enhance/advance cause of humanity Indians Society and Abroad.
  15. To leave no stone unturned in flourishing/propagating objects/vision of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in every walk of life.
  16. To Promote the spirit of Aligarh Movement (Sir Syed ideology for education institution.
